Claylight Series

The ClayLight Lamp series is a family of ceramic light fixtures constructed in collaboration with ceramic artist Sharan Elran. Made of Clay, Porcelain and metal they explore the link between these materials and light. using different types of perforations and material thickness create different light environments and patterns.

Claylight Egg Desklamp

This perforated clay Desk lamp creates a light drawing on its lampshade. The light textures in the space around it can be shaped as lines, v shapes and more.

The Clay Body and head are built by ceramic artist Sharan Elran.

The lamp has a knob on its base that activates a touch dimmer for three levels of light, on and off.

Uses a 35W xenon bulb that is twice more efficient in its energy use than a regular incandescent (equivalent to 60-75W incandescent), has a longer life span of 5,000 hours and a warm color light quality.

The lamps are hand made and assembled, each in unique dimensions, color and pattern, therefore the exact actual sizes of the clay piece may be slightly different from the sizes that appear on the drawing on this page.

You may select a family of perforation patterns to appear on the lamp:

comes with an 8' braided cord that matches the color of the clay pieces (white or black).

All of the electrical parts are UL listed.

The lamp is signed.
