A sustainable line of Clay and porcelain lighting fixtures, designed to work with Energy Star Compact Fluorescent bulbs in ways that makes their light pleasant to live with as well as energy efficient.

The Earthlight were developed during a long research process, partially funded by the 'Pratt Institute Faculty Development Fund'.

Totem

Totem is a ceramic lamp constructed of assembled sections, designed to be used as a sustainable light source that incorporates an energy star compact fluorescent. Its interior has a gold color glazing to achieve a warmer color of light and its outer walls are perforated with large patterned holes through which light can escape. A larger opening at its top allows for a circular light beam to reach the ceiling. Since it is composed of several parts, the top sections can be removed and used as a mechanical dimmer to enhance or reduce the volume of light.

The lamps are hand made and assembled, each in unique dimensions, color and pattern, therefore the exact actual sizes of the clay piece may be slightly different from the sizes that appear on this page.
