A sustainable line of Clay and porcelain lighting fixtures, designed to work with Energy Star Compact Fluorescent bulbs in ways that makes their light pleasant to live with as well as energy efficient.

Designed with ceramic artist Sharan Elran in collaboration with lightexture.

The Earthlight were developed during a long research process, partially funded by the 'Pratt Institute Faculty Development Fund'.

Seedlamp Pendant adapter

The Porcelain Seedlamp is made of thin porcelain and voided traces of seeds that were embedded within its cross section. Using the material quality of a very thin porcelain that allows light to shine through it, the porcelain seed lamp gives an amber tone to the color of the light and makes it warmer, soft and diffused. The voided seed traces glow in a stronger hue and create a map of its process and seeded constellations.

The pendant seedlamp adapter screws into a conventional bulb socket. May be purchased with a cover plate to cover the exposed socket plate (as sockets plates sizes vary, the cover plate is made for the specific socket presented)

The lamps are hand made and assembled, each in unique dimensions, color and pattern, therefore the exact actual sizes of the clay piece may be slightly different from the sizes that appear on the drawing on this page.
